Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini launches credit card in the US

Gemini, the massive cryptocurrency exchange founded by the Winklevoss twins, has launched a bitcoin credit card.

The company announced Thursday that its Gemini credit card is now available in all 50 U.S. states.

The new card is issued by state-owned industrial bank WebBank and uses MasterCard as the only card network.

The card's launch comes more than a year after Gemini first announced the idea in 2021, with the goal of rewarding customers who use cryptocurrencies in regular transactions. According to the company, more than 500,000 people have signed up for the Gemini Credit launch card waitlist since it was edited last year.
